Julie Austin - Creative Innovation

There are very few women innovators in the world and even fewer who speak on innovation who have actually done it. I was a reluctant leader and only wanted to license the product. I ended up having to do everything myself from start to finish and now run an international company. I oversee distributors in over 20 countries, from large corporations to single moms supporting their kids with my product.

In the process of learning everything on my own, I have made a million mistakes. But it’s through taking risks that I’ve been able to become successful. Innovation is all about ideas. In order to be an innovative leader you need to allow people to take risks. This is where breakthroughs happen. And this is where “Innovative Leadership” comes in. I talk about how to create a culture of innovation within an organization.

“Creative Marketing” is about how to stay ahead of your competition through innovation.

1) “Creativity for Competitive Advantage”
Using the Techniques of Inventors & Innovators to Generate New Ideas

All innovation starts with great ideas. You may be number one now, but if you’re not innovating, your competition is, and they will knock you out of the lead. To stay ahead you need to constantly reinvent and have new ideas ready to go. Julie makes innovation fun, educational, and interactive. Your employees will be excited about creating, and will come back with hands-on knowledge they can use to solve problems, create new products & services, and learn new ways of doing business that will boost your company’s bottom line.

2) “Innovative Leadership”
Using the Techniques of Inventors & Innovators to Create Strong Management

One of the biggest obstacles companies have to innovation is fear of failure. But when failure is used as a learning experience, brilliant innovation is the result. Nobody knows about failure like inventors. Edison failed hundreds of times before changing the world with the creation of the lightbulb. In this popular keynote speech, Julie illustrates how some of the world’s biggest “failures” turned out to be the biggest successes, and how your management team can encourage employees at all levels to take calculated risks and foster innovation in your company. Julie inspires leaders to see each learning experience as an opportunity for greatness.

3) “It’s Never Too Late to Be Creative”

They used to say you couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks. But scientists are finding out that not only can you learn at any age, you can also grow new brain cells. And one way to do that is with creativity. Studies have shown that people who have a sense of purpose live longer. Creativity gives you a sense of purpose that’s endless. In Julie’s inspirational and educational speech, she clears up the myths, and demonstrates how taking creative risks can help you build the confidence to discover hidden talents you never knew you had. She gives a series of techniques you can use in your own life to set you on a path of discovery and growth through creativity.

4) “Necessity is the Mother of Invention”

Less than 10% of patent holders in the world are women, and Julie Austin wants to change that. This speech is tailored especially to women’s groups, and chronicles the long journey women have had from getting patents in their own name to running multi-million dollar businesses that compete with men in the invention world. It will have women audiences inspired and encouraged to invent their own products, and includes tips they can use to get started.
